No not a literal music record; Jackson fans will not be picking up an old vinyl and breaking it in half, we're talking about world records as collected by the Guiness Book Of... get it? You will soon...
Michael's fans are fond of attempting grand scale world records - records that can be deemed worthy of the former King of Pop - and their latest endeavour is no exception.
This time they're making an attempt they like to call 'Thrill the World' in which fans from more than 300 locations worldwide hope to set the record for most people dancing simultaneously to Jackson’s 'Thriller'.
Those of you who are familiar with world record attempts undertaken by Jackson fans in the past (and frankly who isn't?), might be confused by the similarity of this attempt to the Mexico City dance where 13,000 fans joined together to break the record for most people dancing simultaneously in one place. However, you'll note that the above attempt includes dancers from all over the world which is what makes it different.
The control hub for the record attempt will centre on the entertainment district 'L.A Live' near where Michael's memorial took place. Instructional dance videos are being distributed to aid fans in brushing up before the big day (which will fall on Oct. 24th).
It's fun, slightly mad and all about the fans so we love it...
